National programs of Research and Development

National Programmes of Research and Development (NPRD) include programs and projects implemented in accordance with the priority areas adopted by the Council of Scientific Policy and Technological Development (CSPTD) for a period of time (three years or more, according to the interests of the country).

National programmes are implemented through projects that achieve the objectives of the program and are based on the cooperation of one or more institutions or groups of experts. Each National Program has attached the relevant documents, drafted by the group of experts in the relevant fields.


For the period 2010 – 2012 there are seven National Programmes of Research and Development:

• The National Programme "Social Sciences and Albanology"
• The National Programme "Information Systems and Technologies (ICT)”
• National Programme "Agriculture (veterinary, zoo-technical), Food and Biotechnology"
• National Programme "Water and Energy"
• National Programme "Biodiversity and the Environment"
• The National Programme "Health"
• National Programme "Materials"
